Simulation of a Rope / Webrun on a winder / unwinder

BBBCT Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello Experts, i want to ask if somebody had the requirement to simulate a rope or webrun with NX-MCD 2011 ? It seems that the following SIMATIC Library LFFS - Automation of Form, Fill and Seal Machines - ID: 109770904 - Industry Support Siemens treatens that requirement. Ist is possible to get an real time value for the inertia of the roll and the reduction of the diameter of the roll ? Additionaly a customer requires a Simulation of a Rope in NX-MCD, do you have any suggestion to solve that. Thank you in Advance Best regards Benjamin Bürstner

There are some functions (Dynamic Material) helping visualize deformation (i.e. decrease of diameter) but we need to set parameters (speed of deformation) manualy. Software will not calculate this on his own. In this case we should use CAE software. We can observe inertia in real time.
