Sinamics DCM communication by PROFIBUS

I have a Sinamics DCM, 6RA8018-6DV62-0AA0, that I wich to control it by PROFIBUS. The main setpoint is adjust by a potentiometer on the analog input of the drive and the RUN/JOG signal comes throw PROFIBUS. I would like to send to the master PLC the digital input status of the drive.

Has I can understand from the DCM manual, I have to use a free telegram so that I can assign the r53010 to the PZD3 of my telegram.

My questions are:

- Why in starter I can see a configuration of the telegram of the control unit and the drive itself? What is the difference between them? Why they are two objects?

- In TIA I have used the free telegram 4/4. Do I have to assign on starter the remaining PZD words? Or I can leave them in blank.

-Do I have to add also the status word and control word to the free telegram?

-What is the HEX value to send a RUN command to the drive by control word? And the JOG command?

Standard definition given by siemens for drive object is as following:

this means that total drive functions are divided between functional modules and you have different parameter sets to configure them as you want. Each object also have different communication interface for configuration of PZD data.

In your case you may only wan to use communication interface of drive (not CU) as you will not find control/status word and other setpoint related parameter in CU. You can select free telegram in drive and configure 4 words in send and receive direction. It does not matter if all the words are connected or not. you can connect receive words as per you requirement of controlling drive and you can connect different status parameters to transmit words for monitoring in some master system.

Control word sequence is as attached in picture below. this sequence is mapped in standard application to related parameters. for ex. start bit is 2090.0 (bit 0 of first received word), then you connect it to P840. in this way you hace to connect all the parameters. From PLC you send 47E to make drive ready and 47F will start your drive. Accordingly you can change this Hex code to implement different function.

I will suggest one trick to avoid all the hard work. In communication during configuration select Standard 2/2 PZD, this will arange all the parameters according to control word and then you can switch to free telegram and change parameters according to your need.

Thanks for your reply! I have changed the telegram configuration for the standard 2/2 and added an extra PZD to send the digital INPUTs status of the drive. So I have 6/6 PZD.

In my PLC TIA project I have add a 6/6 PZD telegram. Starting of input is 256 address and output is also 256.

So if I want  to send a ready comand I make a WORD MOV command to output address 256?

If I want to read the digital inputs status of the drive I have to read in the PLC the input 264?

Why do I see 7 rows in the telegram configuration if it is only 6 PZD words?

Why starter adds that 3 rows where I can see 0% written on it? 

Why it adds this inactive interconnections?

I have added a excel file to show the PZD configuraton of the drive to the PLC. Is this list correct?

I have not tried this myself but I think this is for transmitting or receiving 32 bit values. As you can see, first row in pzd is marked 1, then second is 1,2 and third is 2. This means you can use first and second word individually or use them combined for 32 bit values. If you don't need 32 bit values then you need not touch them.
