Hi, I'm setting up holding brakes on a motor controlled by a SINAMICS G120 PM240 frequency inverter. I want to use a digital output to enable the holding brake after the movement has stopped. Currently I am using bit R52.12 : CO/BO: Act. status word 1 as suggested in the manual. The problem with this is that as soon as the setpoint is set to 0, the output frequency is reduced and the holding brakes are enabled almost immediately. This will wear on the brakes. I want to have a 2-4 second delay before the motor brakes are enabled, or use some method that detects when the motor stops turning. This should be accomplished by setting the ramp-up and ramp-down intervals, but these does not seem to be working. The setpoint is set through a fieldbus connection. Attaching the STARTER project file. Thanks for any suggestions, Svein Borlaug AttachmentMunck_Starter.zip (435 Downloads) |
