Sinamics S120 (CU320-2PN) not reachable

Hello,

I have troubles connecting with a Sinamics S120 Control Unit (CU320-2PN).

I cannot find the CU using TIA Portal accesible devices.

Things I have tried already:

- Connecting directly with the CU via X127 LAN Port and ping the default IP of the CU: 169.254.11.22

- I also cannot ping the CU when connecting with the Profinet ports on X150

- Connect with a CPU 1510SP-1PN and connect the CU with the CPU - I can find the CPU but not the CU

- Pressing the Reset Button under the BOP for a few seconds

- Changing Memory Card - also no difference

- deleting/rename the user folder on the memory card

Folder is created automatically after rebooting the CU.

- pressing DIAG Button for a few Seconds

LEDs are all red (RDY,COM and OPT).

The BOP ist not usable, I can't restore the CU to factory settings with p0009 = 30 and  p0976 = 1, because I can't do anything with the BOP. When I press buttons nothing happens (already tried all combinations (P+Arrow Up/Down, FN+P, FN+Arrow Up/Down,...)

It shows 01 on the TOP LEFT and 35 on the BOTTOM RIGHT.

I only supplied 24V on X124 and I have not motor module or line module connected.

I have also tried building a hardware configuration an connecting online in TIA, but no success.

I already read the user manuals of BOP, CU and S120, but I just can't find anything that helps with my problem.

very strange that all LEDs are red.

So what I would do is not only to delete the USER folder on the CF card but completely load the firmware files again to the card.

Here the download of the latest firmware for S120:

retrieve the files from the zip and copy them to the CF card (after deleting all old files - except the KEYS folder!)

Thanks for the quick answer.

Apparantly there is no KEYS folder.

So I tried what you said with the new firmware. Now only the RDY LED is red, the others are dark. Unfortunately I still can't press any buttons on my BOP and still don't find the CU. (Also tried X127 and all Profinet Ports again), but no difference.

Maybe there is some internal failure with my CU and I have to exchange it.

Hmm yeah sounds strange.

So if you cannot see it at all under the accessible nodes in STARTER I have no further idea.

This is the last thing I would try - to search for accessible devices in STARTER tool. Maybe it just shows IP address 0.0.0.0 - then you could assign a correct IP address. But if you cannot see it at all it's bad...

We ordererd a new CU now.

Maybe the network module is the problem.

When I connect to the Profinet Ports, no LED is on and it seems like my pc does not even notice that a network cable was connected.

When I connect to X127 LAN port, my pc notices the network. I also updatet Starter so that Starter supports Firmware 5.2, but still no difference, doesn't find the CU.

Was it ever found whether replacing the CU320 was the solution?

Running into the same issue on our machine, I believe as a result of a power down. Tried some of the information above but having similar results.
