SINAMICS S120 - Telegrams

jcaldara Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hi all. I need to control motors by a S120. I don't know which telegram use for that. Already tried to understand by the manual "list of parameters" but I didn't find anything about that. Inputs and outputs from the telegrams. Anybody can help me with it? Thanks a lot.

You can find all details in the communication chapter in the list manual. The selection of the correct telegram depends on your application. If you want to control the motor just with a speed setpoint it would be enough to use Standard Telegram 1. If you want to do positioning with this motor, then you could use the funciton module basic positioner in the drive and communicate via Siemens Telegram 111 to it from the PLC side. On the PLC side (S7-1x00) there are ready to use function blocks for some standard telegrams (like SINA_SPEED FB for Telegram 1 or SINA_POS FB for Telegram 111). Those blocks can be found in the DriveLib in TIA Portal.
