SIWAREX U WEIGHT VALUE SCALE TO REAL

Good day experts!

Quick question about SIWAREX U.

I've read about manual and on some post here in the forum.

I downloaded the sample project which uses the SIWA_FB. I think you can either get the weight value on the "GROSS_WEIGHT" (INTEGER)  or "ADC_VALUE_FILTERED" (WORD). 

Can i input some range here (say my needed range is 0 kg to 50 kg? What would be the equivalent integer value on the 2 FB outputs above (something like 65535 or 32766?).

Because I will need to convert the value to REAL to have it processed by program based on HMI values (compare into coils, etc.).

Hello G_R_E_Y,

at the parameters „GROSS1“ (for channel 1) and „GROSS2“ (for channel 2) of the FB45 you get the weight value as an interger-value.
You can change that interger-value to a real-value by using this S7-code:
L MW100
ITD
DTR
T MD102

At the parameters „FLT_RAW1“ (for channel 1) and „FLT_RAW2“ (for channel 2) of the FB45 you get the digit value.
The digit value 2427 means a load of 0% on the load cells,  and the digit value 63107 means a load of 100% on the load cells.

You can NOT input some range here, e.g. a range from 0 kg to 50 kg.
It’s not possible to set a range with the Siwarex U module.

So in "GROSS" output I can already get the ACTUAL WEIGHT (in kg) in integer format? But how can SIWAREX give this acurately without setting the range (with respect to the load cell properties)? 

So basically if I want to use the "FLT_RAW" I just have to do some trial like put a test weight, say 25kg, then if I get something like 25000 integer, that means 50kg will be = 50000 integer?

So I will just need to program some interpolation/scale and maybe convert it to real for program/HMI processing?

 Or maybe there's something like a "weight range" specification on the load cell (like 0-50kg), so that it would mean 50kg = 63107, and 25kg means around 30000 digit value? 

I see. Is that the one time weight calibration (1 point calibration)?

When I download the SIWAREX example TIA project, there's also HMI screens together with the program (SIWAREX Function Block). The HMI has this calibration page, 1 button for zero calib, and the other one is something like "adjustment weight". Maybe that's the 1 point calibration? Can I just do that in the HMI? 

So it's something like, I'm going to put a known test-weight (say 50kg), and I put 50kg on the HMI, and that's it, the single-point calibration is done (linear curve)?

If I can get this, then I don't probably need the RAW WEIGHT/digit value (which would need more processing/conversion).

 So in this example, for the first point of calibration, I put:

2427 on "zero adjustment digit", then press "calib zero point" button

then on the second point of calibration I put:

50kg on "calibration weight" and 63107 on "adjustment digit", then press "calib defined weight" button right?

But wait, what's the "zero setting digits"?

Also is the 2427 the digit before installing it to the bin, or the digit of the empty bin (which means the bin weight)?
