Hello S.M. Kasi; Good news, then. Congratulations! And consider this exercise in Profibus troubleshooting as a learning opportunity. now you will forever recognize the symptoms of a lost termination, and short-circuits on the bus. Very few programmers, at their first attempt at debugging a Profibus network, believe it when we tell them that 95% of all Profibus failures occur at the basic hardware level: cable, connectors, wiring , termination, and that this is where the efforts have to be concentrated and well planned. And of course, the suggestion of some model of Profibus tester to help you out is always helpful for future situations you might encounter. Hello S.M. Kasi; Siemens has stopped production of their Profibus testing equipment in the recent years and seems to have moved more towards Profinet. Siemens had 2 types of equiipment: - the BT200 tester for Profibus: discontinued but still found on the web (repair shops and e-bay) https://gridconnect.com/siemens-bt200.html (for example) - the Amprolyzer software , freely downloadable but requires a Win XP computer with an old CP 5611 Profibus comm card, as already stated. As suggested before, you can look into Procentec's Profitrace, or Softing's Profibus tester.
