SoftKey Status and ModBus connection

Hi,

we usually use "Softkey" block with retentive enable as a "Software selector" setting the "Status" parameter by BM display (see attachment).

Now we would like to modify the "Status" block paramerter through ModBus connection but the "Softkey" blocks cant be included in VM configuration.

The purpose would be to change the switch status both from the BM display and from the modbus client...

But I have a possible solution to your problem.

Turn the softkey into a button and generate a dynamic signal from the network input.

A cycle pulse can be generated from the static signal of the network input by continuously resetting a network output with the same address as the network input with a LOW block.

Interconnect the softkey output and network input on an OR block and the output of the OR block on the trigger input of a pulse relay.

 Solution is good and function well.

The only thing I don't like (but you can't do otherwise) is that in the BM display I have to put two fields: one that allows the operator to change the state of the switch (which immediately returns to false after the set) and one that represents the retentive state of the selector (by switch or by ModBus).
