cabreytj Silver Member Joined: 5/18/2006 Last visit: 10/21/2020 Posts: 170 Rating: (64)	Attached is a rolling 3 hour average CFC I built which might help (is your requirement an 8 hour rolling average or a fixed 8 hour average every 8 hours). Either case the APL DeadTime block can be used. Note: this block has a 100 registers but will automatically adjust sampling time to use <= 100 registers (i.e. instead of storing a value every scan of the block it may store every other scan). However, can also cascade these blocks to provide more registers (and therefore better resolution). cabreytj Attachment RollingAverageCFC(APL).JPG (368 Downloads)

Silent Bob Posts: 836 Rating: (100)	Hi, I doubt that the block (Analog value something...) is anyhow simmilar to the APL add block... The scan cylce for the cyclic OBs can be changed in the properties dialog of the CPU in HW config.

Silent Bob Posts: 836 Rating: (100)	APL is an own libriary which has been first released with PCS 7 7.1I think. Since you are using PCS 7 7.0 you won't have this lib. But making an average calculation should also be possible with the older libriary...

RugbyGuy Silver Expert Joined: 1/15/2009 Last visit: 4/19/2024 Posts: 316 Rating: (40)	ahmed, In order to upgrade the library you would need to upgrade the entire PCS 7 system (if your are interested, here are the linkshttp://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/39980937) But per CabreyTJ's screen capture you can swap out equivalent blocks with your current library and work just fine. Your Version - CabreyTJ Version (which is anything greater than V7.1 SP1) V7.0 - APL OP_A - OpAnL DEADT_P - DeadTime OP_D - OpDi01 Sel_R - SelA02In The other APL blocks for add, subtract, divide should be obvious. The F_TRIG and I_R are the same that you have in your current version. Good luck
