In chapter 5, you will see that you should use blocks from XSEND_300 block package which can be found under SWR_LB library. You can also look at the example projects. Example projects and SWR_LIBcan be found when you install the runtime software. Best regards. H-H

Hello nookamon as H-Hsaid: "In chapter 5, you will see that you should use blocks from XSEND_300 block package" (if you want to use MPI for the link between the CPU's). Please note also Chapter 6.7 which states: "The two stations canbe linked via MPI, PROFIBUS or Industrial Ethernet. However, due to its slow transmission speed the MPI link can only be used to transfer smaller data volumes (max. 1 KB)." I presume the CP 342-5 example you are reffering too is theone in the manual, whereas the examples H-H wasreffering too are the actual Step 7examples that you'll find on the Software redundancy CD(I don't have it installed at the moment, but - if memory serves me rigth - there is a pre-programmend MPI link related example on it too).
