Software Redundant using S7-319 3PN/DP example

Hopefully will help others. One more thing, use : SWR_AGSEND_300 for software redundant block Attachment redundant.zip (460 Downloads)

From the Netpro, it's little vaguewhat kind of redundant link you have considered. You say that you have used AG_SEND_300 which (To the best of my knowledge) works only with CPs not with the integrated CPU interfaces (Either Profibus or Ethernet). I can see you have a link between the 2 CPUs called Profibus (CPU) Profibus. Is this the redundant link or you are using Profinet interfaces?! I had to ask Siemens again today and received the answer which I already know "It is not possible with integrated Profinet/Profibus interfaces. AG_SEND_300 works only with CPs over ISO connection for Ethernet or FDL for Profibus)". Did you do anything special in the SWor connection configuration? Best regards. H-H

I know with XSEND the cpu link should use MPI, but to my surprise I set it to Profibus and it works. It has been working for one year. I even want to try to set the speed to 12 Mbps. But since I only have pc adapter i did not try it, instead i use 187,5kbps. Very strange right? anybody has an idea? For the record firstly i use MPI then i switch to DP just want to see what happen, since it was working i forgot to switch back. ha ha ha

H-H Platinum Member Joined: 7/2/2008 Last visit: 11/27/2023 Posts: 928 Rating: (304)	Hello Sulung, I just find it little strange because XSEND_300 blocks hiddenly call SFC65 (X_SEND) and SFC66 (X_RCV). These SFCs belong (to the best of my knowledge) to S7 basic communication. When I take a look at CPU technical data,I find that when 1st interface is configured for Profibus(DP Master) it allows S7 basic communication but only for I blocks (i.e. IPUT/IGET). I must admit I'm not that deep into communication to figure out how it works when ports are configured for Profibus not MPI. I hope someone can tell us how. Best regards. H-H
