stepper motor control with cpu 313c-2dp

Hi all,

I want to run a stepper motor with my 313c-2dp. i need to know two things about the cpu module.

first of all, can i use the inputs and the outputs of the module normally that i do not use for the stepper control? i mean i just need the use the channel 0 of the outputs to control the stepper. can i still use the other inputs and outputs in a normal way.

secondly, this is the first time that i running a stepper motor. do i have to use a rising edge trigger while i am genrating pulses with sfb49, or do i have to use a normally open contact to run that.

i hope my questions are understandable. sorry for the lack of using the language.

yes i have that manual and i read that but it does not answer my question unfortunately. (or i could not find)

i just want to know that i dont want to use a hardware gate to work with sfb49. so i want to use the all inputs in standart way. 

by the way i am just going to run one stepper motor. so i don't need to use pwm for channel 1 and 2. can i still use them as normal outputs again?

Hello,

If you do not use Hardware gate, you can use input for other things.

And if Channel 1 and 2 are not configured, you can use the outputs as standard outputs.
