Hello There. Here are few observations which may help you, 1. M542T V4.0 diver is new version which no need to connect 2K resistors like the old drives. Which is mentioned in their docs Manual PDF on page 5 Article 7. As from my experience the PUL and DIR pins of Stepper drive requires certain amount of milliamps below which they cannot work. Also please make sure to connect the M of your PLC and Stepper Drive PUL-, DIR-. No need to connect the GND(or M or -) of the Stepper power with the PLC M. 2. As per the document ENA+- is NC. So leaving it from connecting anywhere is ok. 3. It is obvious I know but just to make sure that the, you are using motion control motion control block. Make sure the outputs are not being used in anywhere else. Mostly the builtin DC outputs (total 8 DI) is available for this function. 4. Check the required amp rating for the Motor and set the dynamic current as using SW 1,2,3 as per the Doc. 5. Another issue might be the steps/rev setting. Try to set it from 200 to upper setting from SW 5,6,7,8. Sometimes Higher frequency setting does not work at all. You will find it soon that there is a sweet spot of Frequency. 6. I am sure you did it, recheck if the Stepper cable paired correctly. You can do it by measuring the resistance and confirm if it is 3.6 Ohm. If these setting does not work, then I suggest you replace the Stepper Driver. Best of Luck. |

Thank you so much, lack of connection of PUL-, DIR- to M was the issue. |
