Mamoun Abdelqader Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	the main difference between the switchboard and switchgear: Switchboard: adevice that directs the electricity from one source to another and contains switches to allow electricity to be redirected, also the amount of electricity in equels the amount of electricity out. switchgear: adevice that is used to convert incoming electrical power into several smaller voltages, also used as ciruit breaker.

T.M Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	The main difference is the switchgear and switch board are built to different specifications. UL1558 for switchgear and UL891 switchboard in North America. Moreover a switchgear is costlier than a switchboard.
