sajit_345 Regular Member Joined: 11/3/2013 Last visit: 12/14/2021 Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Hi, i am trying to measure the temperature of a tray using a PLC and a thermocouple. I have added a Analog module 6ES73317KF020ABO with front connector 6ES73921AJ000AA0 to the hardware. i have selected only one channel , input Ktype also selection kept for thermocouple. when i connect the thermocouple the analog input shows 660 which is 66 degC. this is suppose to be ambient which is around 32 deg C. Even when i short the plc terminals the reading is shown as 66 degC. please let me know where Im going wrong. thanking in advance. regards, Sajit.

Hello, Kindly check the following: 1-Polarity for TC 2-Connection into analog module 3-Selector mode in analog module 4-Check TC and cables 5-Check analog module(voltage,status,.......) 6-Check HW setting for analog module Best regards......

If you reverse the polarity for TC When temperature increases,the actual value decrease. 2-Try to test with similar analog module. Best regards.........

If Not, the Module Settings should be as follows : Measuring Type : TC-IL ( Thermocouple with internal Cold Junction Compensation and Linearisation ) Measuring Type : Type-K Range Selection : A ( on the Module as well as in Hardware Configuration ) With this setting you should get the correct temperature is Module is O.K.
