TIA Portal 11 & TP177B PN/DP transfer problem

Nikzitronik Posts: 150 Rating: (17)	Dear All, I am facing a problem with a TP177B PN/DP in TIA V11. The first time (out of the box) I connected through Ethernet to the TP, WinCC V11 asked me to perform an OS update so that the TP is compatible with the programming software. I followed the instructions and the update was succesfully completed. I checked Control Panel>OP>Device and the Image version is V11.00.00.00_01.85 I then tried to download a test project (which compiled ok) to the TP but the transfer was interuppted by an error. The compiler window said that << the device could not open file " >>. I then tried the TP with Wincc Flex 2008 SP2. I downgraded the OS and loaded the test project without any issues. Therefore I guess the problem is with TIA V11. My greatest concern is that my S7-1200 is FW2.0.2 and thus it can only be programmed with TIA V11. Which in turn means that I cannot create non-symbolic DBs and thus I cannot use my TP with WinCCFlex. All has to be done through V11 but it wont transfer to the HMI. I would appreciate if you could share your experience and thoughts about my issue. Best Regards Nik

Nikzitronik Posts: 150 Rating: (17)	The display is at transfer mode at all times. The error comes on WinCC. When I issue a transfer command, the project compiles ok and then WinCC is trying to initiate transfer. When this is done, the following error appears in the compiler window of WinCC: Device could not open file" Transfer aborted I forgot to mention that I installed both hotfixes and the OS I am using is WinXP SP3 32bit. In your project go to Options -> Delete temporary files and then go to Project -> Compiler -> Rebuild All. After that try to download to panel. (I'm not sure if it is possible ) Perhaps a Repair of WinCCV11 software might help. Best regards, Wizard

Nikzitronik Posts: 150 Rating: (17)	Dear Wizard, I did indeed tried to download another test programm but I got the same responce. I did not try to repair Wincc11 but instead I made a clean install on another machine with WinXP SP3 32bit.
