TIA PORTAL SIMULATION ERROR

Lawrence_looi Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I don't know this is stupid question or not. when i try to simulate the HMI on my pc and it come out this message "die rechte für den angemeldeten windows benutzer sind nicht ausreichend. die anwendung wird beendet." Anyone know how to solve this issue? As my PC simulate the Step 7 PLC, wincc flex 2008 and tia portal PLC V12 don't have any issue, only tia portal HMI got come out this message. Please help! Have you adminstrator rights on the PC? Run the simulation if you start TIA Portal with the option "Run as Administrator"? Regards Christoph

For certain tasks, you need to be a member of the local PC's user group "TIA Engineer" (the group is created during the installation of TIA Portal - which requires admin rights). In certain environments, you get better results when operating the software when launched using "Run-As" -> Administrator and then provide a local admin account/password. This usually indicates some folders / paths are prohibited to local users and yet portal still needs to access them for proper operation. Not the normal situation, but it sometimes happens.
