0_0 Platinum Member Joined: 7/22/2008 Last visit: 4/14/2022 Posts: 1884 Rating: (174)	I wasn't able to copy the CD to a USB drive, so I am guessing that there is an issue with the CD I was given. What was the error result? Sometimes admin rights are present, but not access to registry.

You can't copy the Data from DVD to USB and the ionstall from DVD doesn't work. You should download the installdata from the SIOS Webpage and try to install it. Regards Christoph

John_Blaser Posts: 28 Rating: (3)	I've installed other software using the drive and I've used it to watch a DVD (once). It is an older system, not brand new, but not sure. I will check the website to see about getting the install/setup packages. I've run the software updater and the updates install with no issues, so I am thinking it is either the CD/DVD or something else. Thank you and Best Regards, John Blaser

John_Blaser Posts: 28 Rating: (3)	Well, now when I try to use TIA Portal everything opens ok but then when I try to open one of the screens inside of the project I get: "The licensing of WinCC Comfort could not be completely finished because the Automation License Manager is not correctly installed." You can try to reinstall the Automation Licence Manager. SIOS is the website here (Siemens Industrial Online Support)! John_Blaser Posts: 28 Rating: (3)	Hello All, Thank you for the responses, it is much appreciated. I uninstalled ALM and then began to try to reinstall it. I was given the following link to the ALM software: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/114358 The problem I have now is that whenever I try to reinstall ALM, I can't get it to load. I get a message saying 'Error 1327. Invalid Drive: E:\". What I can't understand is that I make sure that the installation location is: C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Automation License Manager\" (which is the default link). I only see two log files generated last night when I tried to get the system to Run. I will attach them here. I will also try to put down the screen captures of what I did also.
