Tia v17 Firmware Update Issue CPU1517f-3 PN/DP

So offline project version is v2.8. and online is v2.9.4. I have gone do plc hw configuration and chosen the change firmware and it finds the v2.9. After that a security wizzard appears.Since i right now dont have any password on my project i have chosen no protectikn and didnt setup any password for protection of confidential data, and have set only allow secure pg/pc communication. After i finish the wizzard i am not able to connect to plc as connection is terminated al the time. I have also tried with password and without secure pg/pc communication but the result is the same. I dont have much experience with this so has anyone had same issues, could you maybe give me some advice or solution if someone knows. Thank you very much for help!!

Have you downloaded or at least tried to download the changed hardware configuration? Please provide some more information, as I am not sure what you are trying to do. After changing the hardware, you should always download the hardware first before trying to use other online features. Kind regards Stefan

Therefore, try deleting the online password as described in the message. Kind regards Stefan

I have also checked for the safety program and password doesnt exist right now. I am not sure if for this feature with security wizzard i need to enable some kind of password. You would not need a password to do this, but if there is a password, you would need to specify the same password in the project or just delete it. Kind regards Stefan

Would you maybe know for the licence manager, is it automaticly created when you finish the security wizzard? As this password i can delete only online and here i can dont have it. Please use it for the PLC that you can find at 'Online access' on your network interface. There you can delete the password. Alternatively you can use the 'SIMATIC Automation Tool'. If so, and the "Protection of confidential PLC configuration data" option is still not available, you should check if you have installed the latest update. Or - as already mentioned - try using "SIMATIC Automation Tool". Kind regards Stefan
