time of day - read with TP377

crystal_group Posts: 12 Rating: (1)	Hello! How do I read time of day from S7-1200 with Touch panel TP377 ? What format is used? Because for TP377 we have WORD format, for data/time PLC. Best regards!

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 11/4/2024 Posts: 4351 Rating: (1451)	Hi, in this case, you need to read each part of the variable DTL (S7-1200 format)and remount (manually, in the user program) it as the S7-300 DTL format. Maybe, with SP2 for WinCC flexible 2008 it will be not more necessary.

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 11/4/2024 Posts: 4351 Rating: (1451)	Hi the S7-300 DT variable has the follow struct: Byte n = Year (0..99) Byte n+1 = Month Byte n+2= Day Byte n+3= Hour Byte n+4=Minute Byte n+5= Second Byte n+6 = 10-2 seconds Byte n+7 left = miliseconds Byte n+7 right = week day you must creat the follow struct in one DB. then you need to copy the individual values of S7-1200 DTL to this struct.
