Hi, General Rules E.g. it is possible to perform the follow changes without affecting the actual values of tags that have already been loaded: - Name change - Comment change - Addition of new tags - Deletion of tags - Change of retentivity settings for Bit memories, times, and counters Re-initialization confirmation If some change was done that leaves to reinitialize a DB, by downloading a message will be showed:”The data block will be re-initialized with their start values”. So, no automatic re-initialization will be performed without programmer’s acknowledge. Restart behavior For DB without special attribute (see below) it is possible to perform the follow changes without affecting the actual values of tags that have already been loaded: - Comment change - Start value change DB with special attribute ("Download without reinitialization"): The attribute is set click in the button "Download without reinitialization” by editing the DB (PLC with green rectangle and a pencil icon). With this attribute, it is possible to perform the follow changes without affecting the actual values of tags that have already been loaded: - Start value change - Comment change - Addition of new tags To perform other changes, these special attribute must be unchecked, and so, a re-initialization will be performed. In the block attributes (right mouse click, properties) you can set the quantity of bytes for these “new tags” (retentive and non retentive). The default value is 100 for non retentive and 0 for retentive. If the defined value is exceed, a compilation error will occur by the block download. |
