TIP: How to convert a V11 project to V12

The suggestion #1 didn´t work. The suggestion #2 works. Neverthless a collateral effect appears when I compile the sw for one of the PLCs. In fact the problem is due to a two functions that I obtained some years ago from https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=41512046&caller=view

The functions makes a conversion between bool and word data (I use both: “Bool to Word” and “Word to Bool“).

The TIA V12 doesn’t support the CONV function when the input and output data are the same type, which makes sense. But in the project example of the link that I referred before the “Bool to Word” and “Word to Bool“ functions use the CONV function with the same input and output type. That is the problem.

I have a V11 system i.e. on my laptop and a V12 system on the clients desktop.

I am busy trying toupgrade the V11 project taken off my laptopto V12 on the clients desktop so I have opened the V11 project in V12the only problem now is thatTIA seems to want all of the original V11 software to be installed on the V12 system to do the upgrade.

Am I going to have to go and get all of the V11 softwareto load it on to the V12 system or is there another way of doing this?

I have V11 PLC backup but i don't have TIA Portal V11.

I have tried to migrate in TIA portal V12 but backup folder doesn't shown in the source path.

Kindly give the solution.
