Even though this seems to be the definition of Lifebeat monitoring timers, in facts there are different schemas in sending out the packets to the PLC by WinCC S7Channel & SINEC Drivers (ISO or RFC1006). One set of Lifebeat monitoring timers are running at the SINEC driver level (ISO = 10s AK , RFC1006 = 30s Keep – Alive) independent of WinCC S7Channel. These messages are designed to ensure lower transportlayer heartbeat and are configured with SIMATIC NET.
