TIP: WinCC V13 SP1 and PDF display

First I want to thank you for the series of "Simple sample" - very good and informative!

Regarding displaying of  PDFs:

According to Online help (and also release notes, if I remember right) there should be a PDF viewer object in WinCC Professional too. See attached screen dump.

Unfortunately I can't find this among the avilable controls / objects.

Hello Ohl,

all four of these screen objects are for WinCC Advanced RT and most Panels.

It's not totally wrong, because Advanced functionality is a part of WinCC Professional.
But: WinCC Runtime Professional is not equal to WinCC Professional.
The Runtime Professional and the Runtime Advanced are both parts of the engineering system WinCC Professional.

But it's not written well, too misleading.

A new feature that WinCC V13 SP1 brings is the PDF display. The object is available in Runtime Advanced, the Comfort Panels and in our new 2nd generation Mobile Panels

TIP:

The HTML address could be set “fixed” or “dynamic”, related to a string variable.

The navigation could be done by buttons and functions (PDF*):

The HMI should have version V13.0.1.0 or higher.

 Is it possible for you to share a code to Read a HTML file in the runtime ??

Hello,

There is no any code (Script) for viewing either pdf or html file.

Pdf viewer and HTML viewer are the standard control like alarm viewer diagnostic control since WinCC V13 SP1. Again its depends on panel also.

To view HTMl file or page just use the HTML viewer in one of the screen and define URL for HTML page.

For PDF viewer , define the path and name of the PDF file.

For more information just refere the WinCC V13 SP1 manual.
