Is there a tool or software from siemens capable of migrating STEP5 to STEP7? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Which STEP7? Classic or TIA? |

Hi Leon22, If you have installed Step7 V5.x, you will have automatically installed S5 to S7 conversion tool. This is part of Simatic Manager software. This will convert only program blocks. Still you have to write some blocks on your own, because there are structural difference in some instructions. And If you want to migrate from S5 to TIA, you must convert to S7 and then S7 can be converted to TIA using TIA Portal migration. Find attached guide for S5 to S7 and S7 to TIA. Feel free to revert for further information. I recently had migrated from S5 to S7. If coding is simple and you have time, i would suggest to re-write bit by bit, network by network, block by block from S5 to TIA directly. Regards, Wishme.
