TP1200 Print report to server

Hello,

I would like to send a report from a comfort panel TP1200 to a location on a server. In order to write files to the server credentials are needed. What would be the best approach?

Is it perhaps possible to copy from the usb location to the static server location?

A year back i succesfully write a PDF to a server by using PDF Printer driver. But for some reason i am not able to get this working again. I lack the knowledge to find out what is going wrong. The following manual was used:

Perhaps it was working because SMB v1.0 protocol was still working.

SMB 1.0 must be enabled if you want to transfer or print files to server from Comfort panel. 

Create print files locally on Panel. With option+ Manager (install this on server) you can get the the files from comfort panel and print from there. Option plus uses https, so you do not have to enable SMB 1.0

 Great, first i had some issue's understanding how it works but now i am able to use the PrintReport function. With PDF Printer V1.5 i am printing to an USB to a specify directory. In Option + Manager i have used this directory for the download folder function. And finally it works.

So now i need to write some instructions for the customer to make this work over there. I will check with wireshark which ports and protocols used to make this work. Are there other things to mention to the customer in order to make this work?

What i have done:

* Write a report to a directory on the USB connected to the HMI with PDF driver.
* Configured Download folder in HMI Option + Manager

With these settings i am able to print a report from the HMI to the USB and when HMI Option + Manager is running it is sending it directly to the required directory in a PC.

The PC is a server, the IT guy configured it as mentioned. It works great, i thought i was finally done with this matter.. But then the IT guy logged out of the server and then the program is not uploading it to the server anymore.

Am i doing it wrong?

In the document Integrating HMI Operator Panels into TCP/IP Networks on 5.4 Windows Task Scheduler they are talking about a vbs script that they are running on a task manager. Is this script generated from the HMI Option + Manager?

I think that Windows service is not running when there is no user logged in.



I do not know the IT setup there, so I do not know why. Make sure that service is running always, IT guy should know how.

 The IT guy told me that it seems to be the case. Do you know how to create this service? He tells me that the application has not created this service. He doesnt see this service in Services.

I tried another install with a fresh install received from below link.

For some reason now the service was installed with the installer. And finally, even when the user is not logged in, the file is transfered to the server.
