TP1500: "Printing not possible: no default printer available."

Hie to all

I am having a TP 700 comfort HMI and i have connect a Epson 300 Series printer with it. In HMI i have given PRint screen command on a button and after pressing the button i an getting the screen printout.

Now i have some excel sheet in SD card in HMI and i want to take the printout of the same but as i open the excel sheet and try to give the print but print option itselt is disable.

Ya sir i tried the same as if i open a pdf file in HMI and try to give print command, the print option itself is not active .i.e the print button remain deactive only.

Kindly check for some solution.

• First for printing from any SIMATIC Panel, you have to check that the printer is compatible with your Panel.
  Please check from excel sheet attached in the following FAQ:
  Printers for SIMATIC HMI Panels.
• Then you have to install the printer driver on the Panel. Drivers link are available in the excel sheet mentioned in previous point.
• Printing with SIMATIC Comfort Panels.

 I have a printer that worked with a previous TP1500 printing a report through a network printer. I can't seem to get past the "Printing not possible: no default printer available." Error. I have tried several configurations of the printer setup in the control panel. All your links are dead.

Split from Printing Via Comfort panel.

I had the exact problem, did everything in the book. I could print using usb but not directly connected ethernet printer.

I contacted Siemens support and they said the screen shot in the manual was wrong. instead of selecting the port as  network  you need to select PrintServer 

you put the ip address in with the addition of the port :9100

in my case this was 192.168.0.10:9100
