TP900 ethernet connection to a 4142xl07 cpu via a 443-1ex30

anth2019 Member Joined: 5/13/2019 Last visit: 3/7/2023 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi all Is it possible to connect a tp900 touch screen to a 4142xL07 cpu via a 443-1ex30 comms card. I have made the program in the TP900 but this is currently chatting on MPI. The touch screen needs moving to another panel. In the panel is a cat6 cable already it would be great it i could make use of this and connect it to the comms card. If its possible could someone point me in the direction of a guide or if theres any step by steps. Im comfortable enough making the changes on the tp900 to get this on ethernet as ive programmed tp900 over ethernet before but ive never connected one through a comms card would i have to create a new connection in netpro (im currently running simatic manager) many thanks Ant

Not just a plug in and everything takes care of itself as i was hoping. I suppose if my CPU had a built in Ethernet port this wouldn't be a problem. An easy go around for me i guess would be to use a MPI to Ethernet adapter one at the CPU and one at the TP900.
