Transfer bits to Word tag

Antonio2 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi there, In the WInCC flexible script, is it possible to tranfer 16 bit tags to one Word tag. there is 16 boolean internal tag, separately. Then, I'd like to send each status(0 or 1) to the Word tag(PLC tag), e.g. tag_0 = false tag_1 = true tag_2 = true tag_3 = false .... tag_14 = true tag_15 = true then send these information to Word tag like 00.....0110 Best regards,

MM1234 Posts: 270 Rating: (52)	Hello Antonio2, I believe doing this should be rather easy. You already have in WinCC Flexible functions SetBitInTag and ResetBitInTag, so what you pretty much need to do is to create a simple script with two parameters - number X from 0 to 15 and then boolean Y. In the script you will have one IF ELSE structure: IF Y THEN SetBitInTag wordTagFromPLC, X ELSE ResetBitInTag wordTagFromPLC, X END, where wordTagFromPLC is the tag you want to partially change and X is the number of the bit to change. Then on every of those boolean tags you will call this script with parameters X = position of desired bit in the word and Y = the tag itself. Maybe you will run into little semantic problems if you do it exactly like this, you might have to call/send the tag.value instead just of the tag for the boolean etc. - this is a basic principle on which you should be able to do the script within few minutes. Hope it helps.
