Transfer from one TP to another TP

v3nom Advanced Member Joined: 11/25/2009 Last visit: 11/12/2024 Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have TP170B Mono 6AV6 545-OBB15-2AX0 installed on a panel the problem is that i have now the TP177B 6AV6 642-0BC01-1AX1 so what i need to get the application from 170 b and download on 177B in 170B we have SF-Card and in the 177B we have MMC card, so can anyone help me out that how can i make the show run with 177b please help me as its urgent.... Your promp action in this regard shall be highly appreciable.

Amit_86 Platinum Member Joined: 3/18/2008 Last visit: 12/8/2023 Posts: 1750 Rating: (272)	Dear v3nom, you need to have original backup of your existing HMI.After that you have to open that Backup in WinCC Flexible. if it is created in protool then you have tomigrate the same in WinCC Flexible. Change the Device type in Opened Project to TP177B & then you can download to TP177B.

UMENCHO Diamond Expert Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 11/1/2024 Posts: 10229 Rating: (1181)	Hello, Concerning TP170B: all the options for backup/restore procedure using a CF card is mentioned at http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19082123 From other point of view as I see, you have both WinCC Flex and Protool software. If there is enable 'back transfer/upload option" you can try with both software to upload the project...and then using a migration options easily to "jump" to TP177... Check it How do you back transfer the projects of an operator panel and what should you watch out for? Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
