Trial vs floating licenses

jskom Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	I originally had a trial license for my Step 7 V5.5 software. I have since installed the floating license. Today the trial license expired and I cannot open simatic manager anymore. I have the floating license installed but it doesn't make a difference. Help.

jskom Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	When I go to the license manager I am showing 8 licenses. I originally had the trial license for Step 7 V5.5. I have since transferred the floating license (Permanent) to my C: with the rest of the licenses. My trial license has expired and I can no longer open Step 7. The floating license is there but is not being utilized for some reason. I did some research and it seems as though they are stored in a folder like AA NF ZZ or something. I do not have that folder. Also, I am using a windows 7 pc with XP running on my virtual machine. I have all the Siemens software installed on the XP virtual machine. Attachment screenshot.jpg (26 Downloads)
