Try to connect the Logo BM and see it by Internet

Hi Dion 64

It's  a long time i try  to  connect the Logo BM  and see it by Internet.

I have the following  questions:

1. Exept the port 10001,we use the port 8080 ? (It referred  to the logo soft manual).

2. The procedure for Connection by Smartpfone (logo app), is the same or we need another?

Dear Nikos, 

I have a logo 8, so In order to get it online (outside your home network) 

You need the following: 

1. If you have a static IP address there is no problem just skip step 2.

2. if you have a dynamic IP address ( that changes from time to time), you will need a Hostname 

I use the DtDNS is a free service that you cate a hostname (e.x .: Letest.dtdns.net..) and then you download an IP update software on your computer that runs in the background and looks if the IP of your home , Work , or the network that the logo is connected to has changed from the previous one and it automatically updates the Hostname with that IP so eventually if you ping that hostname you will always get to your logo webserver or e.t.c 

3. Go to your ISP's Router, Port Forward the 8080(internal) for the Webserver to any other external port like 81 for example and the IP of the logo (given that the application you use gives you the option to select the port your choice like in the Android HMI app allows you to select the port of your choice)(about the Logo! App I don’t know), do the same for any other service you need, 

4.After you do this , you should be good to go like latest.dtdns.net:81 should bring you to the Webserver of the Logo and to any other service you like
