Trying to make connection between S7-315 2PN/DP and IM155-6DP HF via PROFIBUS in TIA portal V13 SP1

I'm trying to make connection between S7-315 2PN/DP and IM155-6DP HF via PROFIBUS in TIA portal V13 SP1.

I made correct configuration, added OBs for interruptions (OB40,82,83), checked profibus address and connection few times (DP led on IM is ON) but interface module is "unreachable".

I have installed GSD files for IM155-6DP HF firmware v1.1 and v3.1, and I'm using V1.1 because my interface module IM155 has firmware v1.1.

Where is possible problem? Do I need to update firmware of IM module to V3.1?

have you check that the dip switches on the ET200 have the correct settings for the configured DP Adress in the project?

I have checked them few times, and according to instructions. I set address in project on 22, and following DIP switches are on:

- The first one is ON

- Number 2 is ON

- Number 4 is ON

- Number 16 is ON

what about the Profibus-Termination at the beginning and at the end of the bus?

They have to be "ON".

Both terminating resistors are on the ON position and cable is connected on the IN terminal. In the profibus loop is only two components: PLC (adress 2) and IM155 (address 22). Length of profibus cable is near 1,5m.

Are there any influence of connector. I don't use Siemens connector delivered with IM. I'm using Helukabel profibus connector. See attached picture.

Do you have a PROFIBUS CP in the PC so you can test with it?

I have no profibus on my pc, but I have tried to establish connection with new cable, which have siemens connectors and lenght of 5m. There is existing the same situation.

Are you sure, firmware version v1.1 of IM155-6DP HF module can be parametrized by TIA? I don't need to update firmware to v3.1?

Hi,

Update is only need if you have FW V3.1 on the IM.

V1.1 should also work without problems.

I don't know why you use a GSD Files because the Et200Sp should also be available in the HW Catalog of TIA V13 SP1.

Is there any Error in the Diagnostic Buffer of the PLC?

Is a event reported in the log if youplug/unplug the DP connnection?
