Trying to upload using "Upload device as new station" and not able find PLC or CP card in accessible device.

Regards Christoph Hi, We are using TIA Portal V15.1 with VM Server and we have PLC 1516-3 PN/DP with CP 1545-1. When we trying to upload complete project using "Upload device as new station", we are not able find PLC or CP card in accessible device. Anyhow, we are able to download the project using CPU or CP Card, means we are able to see both in accessible device when we download. FYI, in our network we have some CP 443-1 (connected to S7 400 CPU) are able to see in accessible devices. Please advice how to recover from this issue. Have you tried creating a new project, inserting the CPU into the hardware configuration, and then Uploading the software only?

Have you tried creating a new project, inserting the CPU into the hardware configuration, and then Uploading the software only? Hi, Firewall is disabled. But Antivirus (McAfee Endpoint Security) is enabled and it is very difficult process to disable as it managed by IT team. FYI, we don’t have the issue in upload when we are using Siemens M6 PG, which is also having same McAfee Endpoint Security version and Firewall is OFF. Only difference is we will directly connect LAN cable from PG to PLC, whereas VM server is using Switch / Router. For your second question, As you need to be in Online with the PLC to perform "Upload from device (Software)", we don't have any issue in it, since we are able to go online and download. The discovery protocol is not routable, so unless your network adapter acts like it is in the same network (like a VLAN can do), you will not discover things with the discovering protocol. It is different when downloading. It assumes the device you are downloading to exists, and then tries to send packets to it.
