Its tough to open in my machine now. If i could help I will post here back. retrieve the project. Go in retrieved project folder. After open a folder called Global. There is a file called Language. Delete it. Open the project with Step7.

OR USE 3 BLOCKS? OR USE OTHER BLOCKS? IM CONFUSED

umencho Diamond Expert Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 3/30/2025 Posts: 10239 Rating: (1183)	If you install Modbus library there is a sample projects (like a Siemens Client, and like s Siemens Server). FB100 (Modbus Block) inside calls FC5 (SEND) and FC6(RECV). You need just to download them in CPU. IN OB100 make inicialisation of Modbus parameters. Make the communication in cyclic OBs (OB35). I will send you my project later. (no acces to Step7).

CP is Client: Initiate Request A rising edge at the trigger input ENQ_ENR initiates a request. Depending on the input parameters UNIT, DATA_TYPE, START_ADDRESS, LENGTH und WRITE_READ a MODBUS request telegram is generated and sent to the partner station via the TCP/IP connection. The client waits for the parameterized monitoring time MONITOR for a response from the server. ... CP is Server: Activation of Function Block With TRUE signal at the trigger input ENQ_ENR the FB is ready for receiving a request telegram from the client. The server remains passive. In attachment the sample projects. Make the CP client. Copy corresponding project to your case and download it. On the parthner assign that will be a server. FB100 is a very old function block and it's a block from a previous version of "Modbus/TCP CP". FB108 is the current block. Don't mix it! Wüstenräuber

a.z.r Bronze Member Joined: 6/8/2013 Last visit: 5/24/2025 Posts: 196 Rating: (1)	HI MY FRIEND Wuestenraeuber i want to establish communication between a s7-300 plc(server) and a tsx prenium p57203 plc(client). i use fb108. when i connect ethernet cable to tsx plc and pc , tx and rx LEDs on tsx plc flash but when i connect ethernet cable to tsx plc and cp 343-1 dont flash rx and tx LEDs on tsx plc... this is interesting for me... this is while i didn't configure pc for tcp connection but i configured siemens plc in netpro.. can u help me? after 2 weeks i cant establish connection between these two plc

In the first posting you writethat you call FB108, now it's FB100. In your screenshot and posted projectit's FB108... It seems that the p57203 doesn't send telegrams for active connection establishment. Check it with wireshark. Or try it with a modbus client on your PC and the S7 CPU as server. Then you can check, whether the error is in S7 or in p57203. Wüstenräuber
