Hello Osld; That is because the IM 153-2 is transparent to the F-configuration. The selected IM model must support Safety over Profibus, but once that is certified than it is the F-IO modules that must be configured and parameterized properly so they exchange F-data with the F-CPU. See the following screenshot. showing how an example of the F-parameters for an F-DI module on a ET 200M (notice that there is nothing special to the configuration of the IM 153-2 in this example). SIMATIC Safety Integrated for Process Automation Wiring and Evaluation Architectures for Failsafe Digital Input (F-DI)- and Output-Modules (F-DO) of ET 200M https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/90883834
Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello Olivier; Although I cannot find a certification document from TUV that specifically certifies an ET 200M station (with an IM 153-2 communications head) for Profisafe applications, see here for example:
Where can you find the TÜV certificates relevant for SIMATIC S7 F/FH systems?
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/73192008 I have found some sources that may help you out. First, from Siemens:
http://www.automation.com/pdf_articles/profinet/PROFIsafe_system_description_v_2010_English.pdf 9.1. Remote I/O Standard remote I/O now are able to incorporate safety modules without changing the head stations. F-Modules such as digital input/output, analog input/output, power modules, motor starters, and frequency converters with integrated safety are available. The F-Modules can be grouped together and allow shut-down in groups. And from Profibus.com (Profibus International: Profisafe Profile products): Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Maybe the Safety evaluation tool can help you to verify certain things. please check also the S7Fcotia table for F execution, F monitoring and response times |
