Ultramat23 NO sensor replacement & analogue output advice

sridaran_r Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	I would like to get some advice on 3 problems which I am currently having on my Ultramat23: 1. The NO sensor was found to be defective. During replacement it was found that the existing NO sensor and new spare part numbers are different. The look and jumpers on the new NO sensor also looks different. The photo of sensors as attached. The part numbers as follows: Existing NO sensor PN: C79451-A3468-B22 Spare NO sensor PN: C79451-A3468-B522 Are the sensor interchangeable? What modification is required to be done on the new NO sensor? 2. The SO2 measurement is zero at site however the mA output from Ultramat23 was measured to be about 1.7mA. The analogue output type is set to 4-20 mA. When the analogue output is tested on Configuration test, the measured mA is as per command but during measurement mode, the mA value is lower than 4mA. The suppression of negative measured values option is not available on this Ultramat23. What can be done to address the problem? Calibration was successful and measured mA during calibration was normal. Problem only occurs when on measurement mode. 3. During testing, it was found that the analogue output from Ultramat23 is slightly out of range at lower and upper values (i.e. at 4mA and 20mA). On lower value, the actual measured mA is about 3.95mA and on upper value, the actual measured mA is about 20.5mA. Is there any method can be used to trim the mA output at lower and uppper range? There is always an option to use a signal conditioner to adjust the output, but it is better to do that in the instument (if possible) regards, Marcjan

sridaran_r Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	I tried installing the new NO sensor to my Ultramat23. For the new NO sensor, there are 2 jumpers only as compared to 3 jumpers on the old sensor (only 2 of 3 jumpers installed). I installed both jumpers on the new sensor and transferred the resistor from old sensor to new sensor as the old resistor was still in good condition. The NO sensor was connected to X36 for Channel #2 on the motherboard (Channel #1 was connected to X35 for CO2 and Channel #4 is used for 02). However when the Ultramat23 is powered up, the NO channel is not detected. CO2 and O2 is detected. Previously with the old sensor, the NO channel could be detected but the measured values during calibration is inconsistent.
