Unable to Access Variables in WinCC RT Advanced SCADA from Sinumerik 828D via OPC UA

vikrant_doiphode67 Joined: 8/24/2023 Last visit: 11/15/2024 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Query: Unable to Access Variables in WinCC RT Advanced SCADA from Sinumerik 828D via OPC UA I am using WinCC RT Advanced SCADA to communicate with a Sinumerik 828D CNC controller. The communication is set up using OPC UA, with the Sinumerik 828D configured as the OPC UA server and WinCC RT Advanced as the client. After successfully connecting the OPC UA client in WinCC RT Advanced to the OPC UA server on the Sinumerik 828D, I can see the server but I am unable to access or read the necessary variables/parameters. I have verified the connection using the UaExpert software, and it shows successful communication and visibility of the variables. However, when attempting to fetch the Sinumerik data in WinCC RT Advanced, I cannot access the required variables. I am currently on-site and need urgent assistance to resolve this issue. Could you provide guidance on how to access these variables in WinCC RT Advanced? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from OPC UA Server won't start in WinCC RT Advanced. Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 11/15/2024 Posts: 14176 Rating: (1774)	Hello vikrant_doiphode67 Check if you have activated the Anonymus User authetification in the OPC UA Server because WinCC Advanced cannot use any Username/PW for OPC UA Which Security settings do you use? Check in the Rejected folder of the OPC UA Client if there is a Certificate of the OPC UA Server. (the folder Names are written in the TIA Portal Help System). It could be that the server has to be trusted, also if you use None Security. Check Time settings on Server and Client Bye Murof
