Updatation delay.

MRK Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Updatation of tags is slow about 2-3 sec. In this case we are simulating the project with CPU 315-2DP if we click button for operation of valve then actual O/P will turned on after 2-3 sec. But if the same project is simulated with CPU 315 PN/DP within no time O/P is updated. We need to avoid the delay with CPU 315-2DP in our project is there any setting is require to be done.As withCPU 315 PN/DPon delay is observed.

Wacky Posts: 60 Rating: (2)	How's the scan cycle of the PLC program? It may cause the delay if the scan cycle is long. Also, check the updating cycle of WinCC graphics.

Is it related to Scan time or Work Memory of CPU as in case of PN/DP work memory is double. Work Memory - 52% in cas of CPU 315-2DP Work Memory - 26% in case of CPU 315 PN/DP occupied. Graphic and Tag updation i s set to 250ms in both case 1. CPU 315-2DP time required is 2-3 Sec. for updatation 2. CPU 315 PN/DP timefor updatation is less withen ms. Please suggest how to improve the communication time with CPU 315-2DP.

I have tried 250ms before, it does not work (which mean no any graphic change). But I forgot Iused which CPU.

Same PLC and WinCC programee were tested with two different type of CPU and drastaic change of Updatation time is observed. 1] CPU 315-2DP time required is 2-3sec.[ Button click to turn on O/P] Same programe tested wiht only change CPU type 2] CPU 315 PN/DP time required is in milisec. [ Button click to turn on O/P] communication is on 5611 MPI . need to reduce updatation time.
