User Archive redundancy

Maky7722217 Posts: 14 Rating: (1)	Hi, i've got redundancy configuration ( 2 servers - Win2003server, WinCC6.0 SP4). Redundancy runs fine except "User Archive". I created a few archives using by "User Archive" editor(WinCCExplorer), then iactived them in "Redundancy" editor(WinCCExplorer) in tab "User Archive", column "synchronization". After that I duplicated the project on the second server and started up them(first default server and then standby server). Later i added a new archive on both servers (i used the same name and the same structure of archive) during RT. I used ODK functions. But that archive is not "synchronise" - redundant. For sure i checked that in "Redundancy" editor (WinCCExplorer) on both servers and i found out that the new archive is inactive and all others are active. So i activedadded archive and it works. My question is how can ichange parameter "active/inactive" in "Redundancy" editor (WinCCExplorer), tab "User Archive", column "Synchronization" by C or VB script in RT-mode. Thanks for reply.

Maky7722217 Posts: 14 Rating: (1)	If the project is duplicated (from "Master" server to "Standby" server) during runtime on "Master" server (of course "Standby" server is closed - no RT, no WinCC explorer), the project will workperfectly and the new archive will be synchronised. That's right. But my ODK functions create a new archive duringRT and i can't duplicate the project every time when a new archive is created. I've discussed about it with siemens support and the result is: 1.creating archives is like changing configuration of server data, so i have to duplicate the project always. 2.there aren't any function (C or VB) in WinCC, which are able to set/reset parameter "Synchronization"(active/inactive) in "Redundancy" editor (WinCC Explorer). So what i can say more about that. I have to create the fixednumber of archives. That's all.(no creating an archive during RT) Thanks for help.

ALI S Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	May be im wrong but what happens to me is thatI installed wincc sp4 on windows 2003 sp1 standard edition and redundancy was not switching succcesfully. often both servers go to slave mode at the same time. errorreportedby "Application Health Check" telling me some "WM_FIRE" is failing. I always use project duplicator to creat redundant project. I reinstalled both systems from scratch. connected serial cable but that didnt solve my problem. Then i noticed this line(see attachment) written in the online help came with the original WINCC SP4 CD. Then i reinstalledthe system with windows 2000 server sp4 and now everything is working fine. after your reply i searched the online help and i found at another place stating that redundancy is supported on both windows2000 and windows2003.
