Hello valerio; Step 7 Professional v1x (now at v16) allows the programming of S7-300 and S7-1500 CPUs, So you could migrate your Step 7 v5.x program (from Simatic Manager) to Step 7 v1x, if you take these requirements into account, this migration should work well: What are the requirements for migrating a STEP 7 V5.x project to STEP 7 Professional (TIA Portal)? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/62100731 You could continue to use your Step 7 v5.x program for one project and the migrated (and modified) St3p 7 v1x program for the new project, or choose to use Step 7 v1x for both as you wish. When you cut power to a S7-300, slot in a new MMC in the CPU and repower the CPU, the program in the MCC will be loaded to the CPU. If there are changes in the hardware configurations you should adapt your I/O modules to the program you have in the MMC, or you will get errors when you run the PLC. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
