V17: "SIMATIC Logon Server Not available. Only Logon by Local is possible"

Hi, I have installed TIA V17.0 with WinCC Runtime Advanced I have created a Runtime application with User administration groups as Operator and engineer. Then I created the same User group on my laptop. Then I have created Windows User and assigned them under these Windows User groups. Then In my WinCC Runtime Application, 1. I have enable the SIMATIC Logon 2. Apply User Admisnistration From: Windows Computer 3. Server Name: PC Name of my laptop 4. Port Number: 16389 5. Encrypted Transfer: Enable After this configuration when I am trying to do Login with Windows User's credentials, I couldn't do it. The System Alarm message says "SIMATIC Logon Server Not available. Only Logon by Local is possible" Please help me to resolve this issue. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello mmhamunkar Check out this FAQ: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/de/view/109802523 You will also need a license Simatic Logon Remote Access additionally to the Simatic Logon service license for the simatic Logon server. In your case its the same PC but you will need two licenses bye Murof |
