V20 inverter issue when using PID and Hibernate

Issue: the V20 wakeup from Hibernate and follow a ramp up time until reached the minimum setpoint (P1080), while the demand frequency is high and the PID working blind without considering the right state of the inverter "its still waking up", suddenly after reaching the minimum setpoint frequency its jump to the PID setpoint which is very high without ramp, and this make the F001. we tried to tune the P & I parameters, reducing the Hibernate On-Delay time, but we couldnt make the optimal operation. we tried the solution mentioned in the link below but it didnt solve the issue completely https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/az/en/view/109481292 the solution could be in a very simple modification in the V20 internal configuration which is when the inverter reaches the minimum frequency the PID should reset its setpoint to this value so the pump speed up smoothly. could this be done by BICO? what is your suggestion?

But changing p1120 should help because you have a additioanl ramp function generator connected to the PID output, which should smoothen any speed bumps. Just keep in mind that p1120 also affect the time “ty” of the restart. My other thought would be to try to handle it with the PID controller settings, but you mentioned that you have already tried this. Are you using PID controller hibernation (p2365=2) because there shouldn`t be a delay time. You can also try to change p2392 to switch on the V20 earlier, to avoid big PID controller deviation. If possible, you can also try to change the setpoint to a value close to the f_restartvalue, when V20 is in hibernation r2399. With free function blocks you can create logic to change back the setpoint after a certain time. Attachment V20_PID_hibernation.PNG (676 Downloads)

MM_Khalil Member Joined: 10/20/2020 Last visit: 9/21/2023 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Thank you Technology Team, most of our trials was with P2365 = 1, we reduce the on delay P2367 to zero and set the minimum frequency P1080 to a high value inorder to avoid the over shoot issue. we also try when P2365 = 2, but the issue start always when moving from hibernate active to PID active, there should be a solution to smoother this transition, it should be improved in the V20 internal configuration. I will try with r2399.
