I have a problem with Tia Portal v16 Pro. At the pg/pc i don't have PLCSIM S7-1200/S7-1500.

I uninstalled Tia Portal, cleaned reg of Windows, installed Tia again, but problem still present.

Simulation of HMI don't work and shows me - value could not be written to the plc. Error 190011.

Is it possible to solve this issue WITHOUT total reinstall of Windows?

 You mean panel's image DVD? No, i don't.

 What i need to install from dvd 2? There are some installations

Yes, i have installed PLCSIM v16. Panel is Basic Panel Mono PN, 0AB11.

Maybe problem is in Windows? I have Windows 10 2004 x64. As i read, Tia Portal v 16 needs Windows 10 1903.

1.) TIA V16 have no PG/PC Interface named "PLCSIM 1200/1500" this was changed since Version V14 to "PLCSIM"

2.) have you installed PLCSIM? (This is not included in TIA POrtal Setup)

3.) Which HMI and how connected to the PLC?

At the PG/PC is set interface named PLCSIM.TCPIP1.

 Yes, with download to the plc is no ony problem.

But tell me please, dear users of Tia Portal v16. What is edition of yours windows 10? Is anybody, who use Tia Portal v16 on Windows 10 2004? Maybe issues are caused by 2004 edition? And i should install 1903?

Ok, I completely misunderstood the original problem when you posted it yesterday.  Sorry about that.

Let me make sure I do understand.

PLCSIM V16 running your project.

Basic panel HMI Project simulation also running on same PC.

When you try to push a button or enter a value (I don't know which), you get the error about it not being able to be written.

For a test, create an M-tag, type bool, call it HMI_Button_state, in the PLC.

Add a test button to the HMI, point it to the new M-tag HMI_Button_state.

Compile both PLC & HMI projects and load into simulators.

Now in a PLC watch table, add HMI_Button_state and start monitoring.

Press the test button on the HMI.  If it toggles, we know the security settings of the PLC are not requiring a password from the HMI in order to write data to the PLC.  If it does not toggle, that is most surely the problem.

 With KTP700 version 16.0.0 simulation works.

But what i need to do to make simulation on KTP 600? It is version 12.0.0.

 Wait. I found one chat here:

The KTP600 is a first generation KTP-type HMI. The last firmware version for KTP600 is 12.0.0.0. There is no firmware upgrade that can be performed.

I can confirm that a simulation of S7-1200 and KTP600 on TIA V15.1 is a problem. The simulated KTP600 seems to establish a link with the simulated S7-1200, but after 15sec the link is broken. The S7-1200 never shows that a connection is made.

The KTP600 might not simulate.

So it is answer on all my questions :)

Ahh, that is a good reason to not use KTP600 rev 12.0

 With ABSOLUTE ADDRESSING the resault is the same - no simulation

Update the firmware on the KTP600.  An alternative is to use ABSOLUTE ADDRESSING for all HMI related tags.

I think v12 was around the time when KTP600's were not quite ready for symbolic tags (error free anyhow).  Physical KTP's back then would work great with absolute addresses.  But, symbolic addresses, it would work sometimes. But once it did not work just once, it quite working until it was power cycled.

 I don't want to do total reinstall of windows and all soft.

On another PC with Windows 10 2004 simulation of KTP600 also shows - could not be written to plc. With KTP700 no problems.

So, KTP600 can work with  the real project, but not in simulation mode.

Then it might be a windows problem, though I doubt it.

The right answer is to use a newer HMI.  Alternative is use older TIA Portal version that can simulate your V12 firmware HMI.  Your V16 license covers all prior versions of TIA Portal.
