valve with 802d

saeedplc Posts: 288 Rating: (4)	hello. we have a cnc machine with sinumerik 802d and i want to use a proportional valve on this machine it's input is 0-10v but i don't know how i can use it! my second question is about adi4 module: how is relationship between profibus input and analog output of the module? i mean that what profibus value is equivalent to 10v or 5v and etc. best regards.

Pee Ell Sea Posts: 672 Rating: (56)	Hi, The ADI4 card integrates fully into the axis system of the 840 or 820 D. You don't send it a value but declare it as an analog axis and the system calculates what voltage to output for a given axis move and speed. If you want to use it as an analog card then declare it as a spindle and issue different S words. If your proportional valve has no feedback then as said before just use an analog output card. Pee
