A workaround is to use MSDASQL and VBS see example in WinCC online help "Configuring a Database Connection with VBS". You need to figure out the structure of UA tables in Configuration and Runtime though. This approach is kind of risky due to the fact that Siemens is constantly changing the internal project DBs structuresand might not be compatible from one SP to another. Dec

"Import" and "export" functions works properly, but there is no reaction on code below: uaArchiveMoveFirst(hArchive); uaArchiveMoveNext(hArchive); uaArchiveSetFieldValueDouble ( hArchive, 2, 9); uaArchiveUpdate(hArchive); Whats's wrong?

Palmerita Posts: 102 Rating: (11)	Hello plenc I am not an expert on user archives, but In my experience, whenever I need this kind of flexibility (user archives and visual basic)I have done it using actions (programmed on c) and saving the data on internal tags. I do not know how much data you want to retrieve, I remember once I had to change the complete user archive to a normal database so I could makean ADODB connection and retrieve it directly.
