I have problem in indicating the status of pump in WinCC flexible 2008 standard.I wanted to show 3 status of the pump i.e Running,stop,Fault.What i did was i picked up 3 pump objectswith 3 diff colors and for each pump,the visibility was enabled for a particular tag ,say for running condition the pump with green color was enabled.But this is not working....where is my fault If i get a solution for this,i can apply it for faceplate of pumps too

Niranjan Prasad Posts: 691 Rating: (37)	Hi Sindhu First you check whether your WinCC Flexible application is communicating or not . If you are Using DBs as tags to show the visibility then be sure that you have downloaded the particular DB once again check the Visibility Tag Connection in the Pump Symbols or you can check the Pump Symbols by placing them at different places

Wheater it DB orMemory, if its memory bit "BITSwaping" will take placeor its DB check you assign correct DB address. Check Your communication plc and winccflexiable. I HOPE THIS MAY HELP YOU

Sindhu Posts: 163 Rating: (0)	Hello! I chked doing the same memory bits,its working .So this will work with DBs as tags too,but how to download the DBs. Do you mean to say that Step7 should be in simulation mode and WinCC flexible also simulation mode. I tried putting both in simualtion mode,a change in the value in PLC SIMVIEW din not get updated in the Wincc Screen.Why

Niranjan Prasad Posts: 691 Rating: (37)	Dear Sindhu Please download the configured DB to the "PLC Sim" and then check in the runtime If it is working with Memory Bits then it should work with DB Values also Please Check it and revert back

Check yourDB is downloaded and if so, intilize the DB once and again download. Check wether the upadation is taking place in DB.If "S" surly it will update in HMI also

Than see in runtime what you actually see. Also I would place some 3 I/O fields to represent three different tags and see if tags are really changing. Then I think you will see what's the problem.

Sindhu Posts: 163 Rating: (0)	Hello All! The memory bits were succesful when i tried in the simulation of WinCC,but not with DB in simulator itself. Also I tried downloading the DB in PLC SIM VIEW,In the runtime that was not updated. Im very new working in Siemens system,though i have worked with other manufacturers.Pls bear with for my simple doubts. Teach me how a change in PLCSimView will get updated on the WinCC screen.
