Visible Tag Name -- Batch change

mvisconte Posts: 72 Rating: (2)	Good morning dear forum, I have a problem that I hope you guys (and girls) might help me with. In my pictures, I have "classic" PCS7 controls (like PID_ConL). The tag name is, by default, not displayed (Prop TagVisible set to No). I would like to have, by default, all tag names shown. Is there any way for me to do it without changing every tag one at a time? Thank you very much for your help.

HarrY ji Platinum Expert Joined: 2/21/2014 Last visit: 8/13/2024 Posts: 652 Rating: (350)	hi mvisconte, If you are talking about tagname in Block icon then: If i remember correct, there is a internal Tag whose value is by default set to 0. You can find the tag in tag management->Internal Tag. I think the tag name is something like "xxShowTag". change the value of this tag to 1. now the Tagname will be displayed by default. I hope it helps. Let me know the results. if this does not work, please attach your block icon. HarrY

Additionally there is a button"show/Hide Tag" in the pcs7typicals file for APL . You can place this button in your runtime PDL. pressing this button makes Tag(@APLShowTag) value 0 or 1 depending on the currenttag value.in this way you will not need to go to internal tag everytime you want to show or hide the Tagname. Just press the button in runtime and Tagname will be hidden or shown immediately without moving away from the runtime. Thanks, HarrY

Thanks, HarrY That helps me a lot... but is there any method to always show the tag without press that buttom ?... I change the attribute value but every time the OS needs to be compiled, it returns to false... I think it would be a parameter in the blocks that create the block icons, but I'm not sure... can you help me?
