Want to print to *.prn files and then convert to pdf

Hi there,  i am in misery too please help me, i have PCS7 V9.0 and i have CFC chart that i want to print to *.prn files first, and then convert to pdf.

Because we did this ways over 10 year in S7 without any problems and quickly, but now we are all in misery for one month.

I have had this issue on a TIA Portal project, and found out some details about the problem.

There are a set of RPL files in the runtime application, and if one is missing/corrupt then it will cause the print job is being executed message to occur. The reason is that the runtime will first generate a report using a system defined RPL file. This report is then sent to the printer. If the report can't be generated then the print job hangs and displays the error message. 

The RPL files can be missing due to a compile bug, or an issue in copying the runtime application. There should be a significant number of RPL files starting with @... which are system generated for the toolbar print buttons. It is advised to recompile and/or reinstall the application to fix it.

You may try manually adding the RPL file, but this is likely to fail miserably. The application seems to have issues with this, and your print job will execute, but not actually print.

The second issue is a set of print jobs with the same name, which will cause the printer to get stuck. This is a printer driver problem which normally can be cleared by a restart. This is a common issue with printer drivers.

The duplicate print job doesn't occur if you use the time and date in the print job name. If you use the same name for all prints, then its possible to request a second print job before the first is completed. This can be cleared from the printer (devices and printers, open the printer queue)

hello my friendm thank you but notice that i have install office collection on my system also and with out any problem "Print to file" work in all office collections such as word or excell and clearly and simply after tick the print to file i recieve the *.prn files. Just in PCS7 there is this problem.

I could print the CFCs as .prn files using print to file option in 9.0 SP3

Later I converted/printed it to .pdf files too.

I have selected CFCs one by one and did the above sequence.

Could you please share the complete version of PCS7 and Windows details. So that I can try and update you my observation.
