Hello putta; On most drive systems I have used, analog inputs are control inputs, not power inputs. For example, analog inputs on a SiemensMM4 drive are on a 0-10 VDC range. You can use a potentiometer on that range to send a speed control signal to the drive. But the drive must recieve a fixed power input at its power requirement level (240 V, 480 V...).
